Károly Jakobey Painter

1826 - 1891

Painter. Marastoni Jakab made a career of painting, and 1845 and at the Vienna Academy, and later learned FG Waldmüller free school. Budapest settled in the early 1850s. 1852 regularly featured on the Pest Art Society exhibitions, mainly portraits. One of the founders and a member until his death in 1861 he founded the National Society of Fine Arts. Religious orders in 1860 from more and more painted altarpieces. also undertaken murals and restoration tasks. In the 1870-ies with extensive picturesque church activities Altenbuchner Henry and Greiner Károllyal. Housing estate of the artist collective exhibition held in Budapest in 1910. Many of landscapes in the National Gallery, there are portraits of the Hungarian Historical Gallery, as well as a drawing of the Ernst Museum.
